Offered year-round, registration is filling up for our Junior, Girls, and Co-Ed Youth Programs.

Our Junior (7 years of age and up — Special Consideration for younger), Co-Ed Youth, and Girls Youth classes are led by Boxing Ontario, Nationally Certified Coaches, including international Olympic-level official Jennifer Huggins and Head Coach Virgil Barrow, who earlier this year led Team Ontario to the Youth Nationals at Canada Cup. Together, this dynamic duo provides a safe and inspiring environment for youth to explore the sport they love.

During these programs, participants can expect to learn the technical movements and mechanics of boxing while being physically challenged in a whole new way. With nearly 20 years of incredible success, these classes have become some of our most popular programs, suitable for all fitness levels. We look forward to welcoming returning boxers year after year and opening our doors to new participants eager to share in the experience.

For those looking to take the next step, our advanced competitive program is also available, offering a pathway for dedicated athletes to further hone their skills and compete at higher levels. 📆 JUNIOR & YOUTH PROGRAM SCHEDULES

ℹ️ PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS:

[NORSEMAN] Co-Ed Youth Boxing Programs (Ages 12-17) These classes are geared toward all teens — This program runs nearly every day and is appropriate for all fitness and experience levels.

[NORSEMAN] YOUTH TECHNICAL BOXING CLASSES (INVITATIONAL) This program is geared toward youth athletes with intermediate to advanced skills looking to take boxing to the next level. Currently we offer this program weekly every Monday and Thursday at 5pm.

[NORSEMAN] Girls Youth Boxing Classes (Ages 11-17). This program is geared toward girls and is appropriate for all fitness and experience levels. We currently offer this classed weekly every Monday at 6:15 pm.

Special Note About Our Girls Teen Program:

The Girls Youth Boxing Classes are run by Canadian National Coach and 3-Star International Referee, Jennifer Huggins. After recognizing the incredible impact the sport has had on her life, she felt it was necessary to share her passion with the youth of the community. The girls who participate in this class learn the technical components of boxing and are given an opportunity to explore their confidence in ways that will help them in all walks of life.

ALREADY REGISTERED? HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW…

ALL BOXING PROGRAMS ARE DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP:

• Wait outside in cars or spaced out in parking lot. Due to limited parking, it may be best to use the front parking area and walk younger children to our entrance.
• Arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the session starts.
• To avoid loss of session, if you cannot make the session, please cancel through account or reply on the confirmation email – minimum 12 hours in advance.
• Account Login: Ensure your information is updated so we can communicate any updates

WHAT TO BRING

• Boxing Gloves & Wraps – In the case that you do not have equipment yet, please order online prior to your session: Buy Now
• Come dressed and ready to train, including your workout shoes. Also ensure you have wrapped your hands before the start: How to wrap
• Bring a full water bottle
• Avoid bringing large bags, we know you may be coming from school, so we will have cubbies

WHAT TO EXPECT IN CLASS

Classes are run by Boxing Ontario, Nationally Certified Coaches. Participants can expect to learn the technical movement and mechanics of boxing, along with being challenged physically in a whole new way. The classes offered at Kingsway Boxing are suitable for all fitness levels!

We’ve had incredible success with our Junior and youth programs for over 15 years, proving to be one of our most popular programs. We look forward to welcoming our boxers back year after year and opening the doors to others looking to share in the experience.

Sept. 9/2021| Program Update

Dear Boxing Parents,

We could not be more happy to have our strong little fighters back in the gym with us! After the past year we have all had, it has been truly rewarding to see all the kids train harder than ever 👊

This email is to notify you that this Saturday Sept. 11, 2021, we will be having PICTURE DAY for our cutest heavyweights! Have the kids show up in their favourite boxing outfits and bring their A-GAME! Oh, and don’t forget to have fun! 😊

Please note that with the exception of Saturday 9 am Virtual Boxing, all group and virtual classes are cancelled for the holiday weekend, with regular schedule resuming Monday July 5. 

Please note the following:

• Saturday July 3 – 9am Virtual Boxing will run as scheduled
• Monday July 5 – 6:30 pm Weekly HIIT Drop-In Classes begin at our High Performance Studio
• Wednesday July 7 – 8:15 pm  Weekly Boxing & Conditioning Classes begin at our High Performance Studio

Good Afternoon Parents and Teens,

Thank you so much for your patience as we return to training. I’m looking for feedback to see if there would be demand for a New Co-Ed Youth Class on Thursday’s at 5:15 pm starting in July? Please reply to this email if you would be interested in this?

We currently are offering the following programs with limited spots available. Most youth have requested to be registered ongoing, if you have not requested this, it’s important to connect with me directly. It’s also important that you access your account to cancel 24 hours in advance to make room for waitlisted participants in case you cannot attend a class. 
Current Youth Class Offering:

• Monday 5:15 pm Girls Teen Boxing
• Tuesday 4:15 pm Co-Ed Tweens
• Tuesday 5:15 pm Co-Ed Teens
• Wednesday 5:15 pm Co-Ed Teens
• Saturday 11:15 am Co-Ed Teens
• We also offer private classes and kids 7+ groups on request

Updates:

• We are proud to welcome to our Youth Team: Coach Kelly Korkola — Past National Boxer, National Official and Youth Boxing Coach. Kelly will be helping us to create a competitive Youth program that we look forward to travelling to competition with as things open up in Ontario/Canada
• Once the restrictions open up on class sizes indoors, we’re looking forward to launching our youth Membership, which will make these programs much more financially accessible. 
• The members who were grandfathered over thanks to their support throughout COVID will continue to have live access to 1 class weekly and unlimited access to virtual programs.

Please note that we WILL be cautiously continuing our youth and kids programs in phase 2 as scheduled. Please let me know if your child will not be attending so I can open up the spot.
