Kingsway Boxing presents Off-The-Ropes Sports Team Training!
This isn’t just a boxing class—it’s a mindset shift. Off The Ropes is a high-impact, high-reward training experience built for anyone ready to break through their limits, build real strength, and tap into the mental toughness that boxing demands.
Led by Kingsway’s top coaching team, this immersive camp blends the fundamentals of Olympic-style boxing with strength, conditioning, and mindset training. It’s for athletes of all levels who are ready to train like fighters—even if they never plan to compete in the ring.
You’ll learn to move with purpose, punch with power, and think like a boxer—all while building confidence, resilience, and a deep connection to a like-minded community. Expect sweat, discipline, and a sense of accomplishment you can’t get from your average workout.

We also offer cross-training boxing camps in which participants will also gain skills in:
- Basic boxing techniques
- Heavy, speed, and double-ended bag work

Participants are expected to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time. Each class day is structured to include all of the following components:

Important Note:
This camp is suitable for ages 10 and up; however, younger athletes are expected to operate at a high level of maturity.
Kingsway Boxing Club coaches are highly qualified, with an average of 20 years of professional experience from across the country and abroad. Our team has been trained through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and Boxing Canada, and they all employ positive coaching styles. Passionate and enthusiastic, they assist in making our program camps and clinics second to none.

Virgil Barrow | National Boxing Ontario Coach
Virgil Barrow is the Head Coach of Toronto’s Kingsway Boxing Club (KBC) and the Fight To End Cancer (FTEC) initiative. With over 20 years of experience as a competitive boxing coach, Virgil is committed to developing athletes at all levels—from grassroots to high-performance.
He leads programs year-round and personally trains 10 charity boxers each year for FTEC, all while managing the day-to-day operations of KBC. In 2023, Virgil was appointed as a Provincial Coach for Team Ontario, leading the team to nearly 30 medals at the Canada Cup and Youth National Championships—an achievement that speaks to his leadership and technical expertise.
Virgil takes a holistic approach to coaching, holding certifications in childhood, sports, and personal nutrition, ensuring his athletes are supported both in and out of the ring.
If you’re looking to join the KBC Fight Team or step into the ring for FTEC, you’ll be guided by one of the most respected coaches in Canadian boxing.

Jennifer Huggins | National Boxing Ontario Coach | World Boxing Olympic Official
Jennifer Huggins is the owner and senior coach at Kingsway Boxing Club in Toronto, Canada. With a background that spans every corner of the sport, she brings a rare combination of hands-on coaching, athletic performance expertise, and international officiating experience.
A International Olympic-level Referee and Judge with World Boxing, Jennifer has officiated at the highest levels of boxing. Her unique perspective in the ring directly informs her coaching—emphasizing discipline, fairness, and strategic performance.
In addition to her coaching role, Jennifer holds a BSc in Kinesiology, is an A.C.E.-certified personal trainer, and leads recovery-focused sessions through Kingsway’s Fire & Ice Studio, specializing in contrast therapy.
She is also the founder and CEO of the Fight To End Cancer, a charitable initiative that has raised millions in support of cancer research. Jennifer serves on multiple national and international boards, including the Advisory Council for the Minister of Sport, advocating for equity and development in sport.
Despite her global commitments, she remains dedicated to developing athletes at every level—from grassroots to high performance—through personalized coaching and technical excellence.
