One Championship Belt. Two Silver Medals. Team KBC Makes Its Mark at the King of the Jungle National Championships.

From August 5–8, 2026, Team Kingsway Boxing travelled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to compete at the RINGSIDE King of the Jungle National Championships, the largest USA Boxing Group Member National Championship event in the United States.
Hosted at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the event brought together boxers, coaches, and officials from across the United States and beyond for one of the country’s largest USA Boxing tournaments.
Kingsway Boxing Club recently returned from Grand Rapids, Michigan, after competing at the RINGSIDE King of the Jungle National Championships, one of the largest USA Boxing events in the United States.
The tournament brought together international athletes in novice, open, and Masters divisions, creating a high-level stage for boxers of all ages and experience levels.
Andrea Young, William Bardsley, and Quentin Snowden represented Kingsway Boxing Club, stepping into the ring against strong competition on a major international stage. Team KBC delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home two hard-fought silver medals and one championship belt. The results reflected not only the talent of the athletes, but the work, discipline, and preparation that went into stepping onto a major international stage.
Competing in an event of this size provided valuable experience for the entire team, and the three podium finishes were a proud result for Kingsway Boxing Club as our athletes continue to develop.

KINGSWAY BOXING FIGHTER FEATURES
William “The Butcher” Bardsley Battles His Way to the Finals, Bringing Home Silver.
From the opening bell to the final round, William “The Butcher” Bardsley was determined to leave it all in the ring.
Coming off a Gold Medal at the Quebec Open, Will fought his way to the KOTJ finals, where he faced a strong opponent from a highly respected American gym.
His opponent came out strong, and Will dropped the first round. But instead of backing down, Will dug deep, battled through two strong rounds, and finished the fight giving everything he had. In the end, the judges awarded the decision to his opponent.
2nd place wasn’t what we came for, but there is absolutely nothing for Will to hang his head about.
He showed heart, determination, and the kind of fight that deserves all the praise. We couldn’t be prouder of his performance at King of the Jungle Tournament

Quentin Snowden Steps Up On The International Stage!
Quentin picked up some valuable experience in Detroit!
With one of the lowest number fight counts in the field, Q faced opponents with nearly double the experience. In his first bout, he battled to a close decision win, earning his spot in the finals against a hometown boxer with twice the experience.
Q found his rhythm in the opening round and controlled the action, but rounds two and three were much closer, with the judges ultimately giving the decision to his opponent.
We didn’t get the result we came for, but these two fights gave Q some valuable lessons and experience that will help prepare him for his provincial run later this year.
Proud of the growth, the composure, and the work. The journey continues.

Andrea “Badazz” Young Continues Her Championship Run
Andrea Young is coming off an incredible 6-week stretch that included 7 fights and 2 tournaments where she brought home the gold.
On her second trip to the U.S., Andrea was ready to go for her semifinal bout, but her opponent didn’t show. That meant straight into the finals against a tall, crafty switch-hitter from Chicago, Illinois.
Andrea embraced the challenge, battled through the adjustments, and did what all strong boxers do: find a way to win.
Another fight. Another win. Another beautiful belt.

Along the way came excitement, disappointment, refocusing, preparation, and eventually throwing the plan out the window and pivoting.
