Good Morning Fight Campers and Parents,
Congratulations once again on completing one of the most intense camps we have ever run. As coaches, we are over the moon and so inspired by the dedication and hard work displayed by this team!
While I’m sure they will need this weekend to rest and recover, we cannot wait to see the kids back in action this week! Many of the boxers displayed interest in taking boxing the next step; due to limited spots on the team and in order to set expectations, please ensure they are registered for our free Talent ID Session — Fri. Apr. 29 @ 5:30 pm
Please see below for important next steps and links to photos and do not hesitate in case you have any questions or concerns.
Important Next Steps & Materials:
1. Fight Camp Handbook: This handbook outlines each lesson and technical component covered in the camp. In addition to a detailed lesson review, we have included an independent workout to be executed during Open Gym (currently, active boxers may sign up for these independent training times throughout the week on our Schedule)
2. Training (Competitive or Recreational): Many of the boxers are already training in our regular youth programs, however a number of the youth are very interested in taking the next step to train competitively. Please see below the pathway for the two options:
- Recreational Programs: These run throughout the week and boxers can register immediately using the information provided in the link. Even boxers looking to take the next step should be enrolled in at least 1-2 classes weekly to ensure they are physically prepared for competitive training.
- Competitive Programs: Register For Talent ID Session — Fri. Apr. 29 @ 5:30 pm All boxers who are interested in taking the next step should attend this free session. We have limited spots on our competitive team, however this is a very good session for the boxer to identify where their technical abilities are at and set realistic expectations.
3. Fight Camp Photos & Video: We are working to compile all of the media we gathered throughout the week (there are thousands of photos and videos). Please note that the download link below will be populated throughout the week as materials come in from the various photographers.
4. Help Us Rebuild By Sharing A 5-Star Google Review: The past 2 years have been tough for us all, however spending this past week with the boxers have given us a renewed hope that we can rebuild and find a way to hold on to both of our locations in Etobicoke. Please share your experience with our camps as it helps us more than you could imagine. Thank you for your incredible support and dedication to boxing and your KBC Family.
