Join cancer survivor Mariela Burkett in this year’s semi-annual Survivor Bootcamp to help raise funds for cancer patients & their families. Focus is to bring forth awareness to the mental & physical struggle associated with cancer, in hopes of creating a stronger circle around those affected by it.

A mother of two, Mariela Burkett is a huge advocate in promoting awareness of the mental struggle associated with cancer (during diagnoses, remission and life after). Joining the 2017 Fight Team seemed like the perfect fit, but life wasn’t making way for the time needed to commit to the yearlong event. There had to be another way for her to join the fight…
Burkett is a thyroid cancer survivor and 2 1/2 years cancer free. She has made it her mission to help cancer patients and their families with financial help by hosting annual and semi-annual ‘Survivor Bootcamps’. An active volunteer within her community, she is also a brand ambassador for products she strongly believes in. A certified coach, personal trainer and fitness instructor, Burkett lives her life’s purpose by living her passion in inspiring and motivating others in their fitness journey. Her fitness journey has taken her from overweight to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. She thrives on the success of others. She is a strong believer in working for what you deserve, rather than having it handed to you. It’s a You Vs. Your world and you are your biggest and only competition; get out of your own way and start reaping your earned successes. Keep moving forward!
