Joining the 2017 Fight Team seemed like the perfect fit\, but life wasn’t making way for the time needed to commit to the yearlong event. There had to be another way for her to join the fight… \nBurkett is a thyroid cancer survivor and 2 1/2 years cancer free. She has made it her mission to help cancer patients and their families with financial help by hosting annual and semi-annual ‘Survivor Bootcamps’. An active volunteer within her community\, she is also a brand ambassador for products she strongly believes in. A certified coach\, personal trainer and fitness instructor\, Burkett lives her life’s purpose by living her passion in inspiring and motivating others in their fitness journey. Her fitness journey has taken her from overweight to a healthy\, balanced lifestyle. She thrives on the success of others. She is a strong believer in working for what you deserve\, rather than having it handed to you. It’s a You Vs.
