With two contenders eyeing the national title and Virgil Barrow, Kingsway Boxing Co-Owner, selected as one of Ontario’s Provincial Team Coaches, the event represents a huge achievement for Team KBC.

Looking ahead to the event, Kingsway Boxing is proud to announce the qualification of two of its members for the 2024 Nationals. Saeed Haje-Saeed has secured the title of provincial champion, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication. Additionally, Noel Fridmann has earned the esteemed position of number two in Ontario, further solidifying Kingsway Boxing’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the sport. Another one of Team KBC’s athletes, Will Bardsley, will also be representing at this tournament as he prepares to return to Australia to compete in his Provincials with hopes of representing Australia in the next Olympic cycle.
Kingsway Boxing has been increasing its involvement in the competitive boxing world over the past few years. A team of 12 boxers recently represented KBC at the Brampton Cup tournament, all showing true promise in the sport. Not only did they achieve their personal bests, but they also represented the sport and Kingsway with excellence against some of the top international and national boxers.
“Since founding Kingsway Boxing Club in 2006, it has been my dream to introduce a sport that has profoundly impacted and shaped my life to the community,” said Jennifer Huggins, Founder of Kingsway Boxing Club. “While we have always been active in the competitive world, much of our focus has been on our recreational programming. This approach not only aimed to cultivate boxing at the grassroots level but also served as a means to sustain our operations in the face of Toronto’s high rent costs. Finally, after nearly 20 years, we are beginning to make our mark in the competitive and national scenes. I am incredibly proud of all our youth and elite boxers!”
