Fight Night Vol. 3: A Celebration of Courage, Community, and Competition.
On March 7, Kingsway Boxing Club proudly welcomed the community back for Fight Night Vol. 3, an evening that represented far more than a night of boxing.
After a year defined by rebuilding and resilience, the event marked a meaningful milestone for our athletes and the supporters who helped make it possible. In front of a packed house at our Norseman facility, Kingsway fighters delivered a strong showing, earning 5 hard-fought victories from 5 bouts—each one the result of steady preparation, discipline, and teamwork.
Behind the scenes, our partners Labatt and Apex played a key role in bringing the night to life, supporting our auctions, raffles, and bar program, all of which helped generate meaningful funds directly for the fight team and their continued development.
As a result of the incredible support shown over the past year, what was rebuilt is more than a gym—it is a home, and it stands stronger because of the community that rallied around it. The energy in the room reflected that shared effort. From the athletes stepping through the ropes to the supporters filling the space, Fight Night Vol. 3 was a chance to show what your generosity helped rebuild. Your support didn’t simply help us get back on our feet; it allowed our athletes to continue pursuing national and international opportunities and building toward the goals ahead.
We are also in the process of creating a Wall of Gratitude to honour the individuals and businesses who helped put the club back together after the fire. In the coming weeks we will be reaching out as we bring this tribute to life.
Thank you to everyone who stands with us, believes in us, and continues to help move Kingsway forward.

Thank you to our Official Strength & Conditioning Team
Special shoutout to Jose Lima for dedicating weekly sessions with our Competitive team, ensuring they’re strong both physically and mentally for the ring! A huge thank you to Paul McIntyre for your incredible support of Team KBC. Check Out Crossfit Colosseum

Fight Night Vol. 3 wasn’t simply a continuation, it was an evolution. From the first bell to the final cheer, the night reminded us all why we fight: for growth, for each other, and for the love of the sport… And this is just the beginning.

Porter Bates
Porter stepped into the ring looking for the first win of his young boxing career. From the opening bell, he came out aggressive, landing his 1–2 at will. After scoring two 8-counts, Porter stayed composed and cruised to a unanimous decision, securing his first victory.
Sky is the limit for this young man. His work ethic and commitment to the sport are clear to see. Wishing Porter all the best as he continues to grow and develop in the sport.
“What I’ve come to realize is that it takes a few losses to truly understand that winning never comes easy. The hard work made the reward of this victory that much sweeter. Thanks, KBC!”

Helia Far Sepehri
Helia stepped forward with a clear goal—to secure the first victory of her boxing journey. Following her debut with Team KBC at the Brampton Cup, she came back sharper, more disciplined, and fully committed to her growth. Week by week, her confidence has risen, and her skill set continues to evolve in the right direction.
This time, she left no doubt—dominating her opponent and earning a first-round stoppage for her first victory. It will be exciting to see how far she can go as she continues to grow and work towards Provincials.
“All the hours, all the work, all the discipline—one round was enough to make the statement.”

Raul Gallart Lora
Raul entered the ring against a hungry opponent chasing the upset and took control from the opening bell. He set the tone early with sharp rhythm and precision, then made the right adjustments as the bout unfolded. Three clear rounds. Unanimous decision. A composed performance that reflects his growth and rising level. Vamos, Raul.
“Heart and determination—build skill, that’s how I keep going. I never give up”

Kwasi Amoateng
The Prince of Darkness stepped into the ring against a familiar foe—a rematch from a previous Fight Night. A big, rugged opponent is always a challenge, but Kwasi rose to the occasion. Pressure came from all sides, but Kwasi’s precision and clean shots won the day. Congrats on another victory, building off Brampton Cup gold!
“Already handled business against this opponent at Fight Night Vol. 1. I knew I was better this time around. Just had to adapt my style, stay composed, and execute. Whatever the situation, the result stays the same.”

Quentin Snowden
Quentin’s consistent growth earned him a main event at Fight Night Vol. 3. His opponent came to upset the home crowd, but Q stayed composed under pressure, letting his speed and counterpunching shine. The result: a unanimous victory. Respect to his opponent, who left it all in the ring.
“First time in the main event, and the bright lights didn’t faze me. It was a competitive fight, and I’m proud to come home with Fight of the Night. Loved all the support, and of course, it’s all God’s plan. Ready for whoever’s next!”

Andrea Young
Andrea “Badass” Young, a Brampton Cup Champion, Provincial Champion, and national-level boxer, was ready to return to the ring on home turf, but unfortunately no opponents were willing to step up to the challenge this time. While the crowd didn’t get to see her gloves fly, Andrea still played a pivotal role in the night’s success. Stepping in as co-emcee for Fight Night Vol. 3, she helped rally the room, energize the crowd, and support fundraising efforts for the Kingsway fight team. Andrea continues to be a leader inside and outside the ring as our athletes prepare to represent abroad, pursuing national team opportunities with their sights firmly set on the Olympic pathway.
“The home crowd showed up and our fighters did not disappoint. Having also had the opportunity to co-host the event was a privilege for me and allowed me to relax and have fun throughout the evening. It almost made me forget I wasn’t fighting… almost! Each of our 5 fighters showed up and put on a show; making it the best fight night to watch! I am so proud of our team and super thankful for the community that supports us!”

COACHES REFLECTIONS

Virgil Barrow | Kingsway Boxing Club Head Coach, Boxing Ontario Provincial Coaching Team
“Fight Night Vol. 3 was another special night for our club. The KBC crowd brought incredible energy, and our hometown fighters responded in style. It was an epic evening that ended with Team KBC going 5–0, but what stood out most was the talent, heart, and dedication on display in every bout. These nights are about more than wins—they’re about growth, challenge, and giving our athletes the opportunity to test themselves against strong competition. When the gym is packed and the community shows up the way it did, it lifts the fighters and reminds everyone what this club is all about.
KBC Fight Night Vol. 4 will be announced for September 2026. See you there!“
Jennifer Huggins | Kingsway Boxing Club Owner, World Boxing International Official
“Boxing has taken me around the world, and this time it had me in Thailand working at an international competition, but my heart was very much with our Kingsway Boxing family at home. It’s the work on the ground—the grassroots, the community, and the day-to-day hustle—that truly fuels my passion. After more than two decades of building Kingsway Boxing, weathering everything from the 2008 recession to the pandemic, a major relocation, and now opening our nearly 8,000 square foot facility, Fight Night Vol. 3 represented so much more than another event. It was a full-circle moment.
Our motto, ‘Defeat Is Not An Option,’ has carried us through every challenge along the way, and nights like this show exactly what that means. I’m incredibly proud of our team—our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes—who stepped up and represented the club with heart and determination. Seeing our fighters rise to the moment and our community stand firmly behind them is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and why we continue to fight.
As I work internationally advocating for the future of our sport, it’s moments like this at the grassroots level that remind me how vital boxing is in shaping lives and creating opportunity.”
Thank you for being part of the journey as our Fight Night legacy continues to grow. The energy and support from our Kingsway Boxing community are more powerful than ever, and we’re excited to have you in our corner. Stay connected for upcoming fighter announcements and opportunities to get involved — the bell may have rung on Vol. 3, but this fight is far from over.
Thank you to our sponsors who help power our team year-round!
