Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga“. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.

Week 1: Get back on your mat and Breathe New Life into Your Poses
Week 2: Power up your core with poses for strong, toned abs
Week 3: How to go deeper in forward folds
Week 4: Twists that unwind
Week 5: Poses that tone and de-stress
Week 6: Boost up your energy, the instant power-up poses
Week 7: Stress Less with poses to find the balance, peace & harmony
Week 8: Be joyful ( A practice for True Happiness)

Slow flow hatha yoga for recharging, refreshing and restoring. Move slowly and purposefully from posture to posture, taking time to breathe while quieting your mind.

  • The Workout: Yoga provides athletes with training and tools that will allow them to excel in their chosen field. This 1-hour pilates inspired class will target the abdominals, back, butt & leg muscles.  The focus will be on increasing body awareness, strength & stability in the core using breath, body weight.
  • What to bring? Bring your own Yoga Mat.  Also, feel free to bring a small blanket/towel to use during final relaxation. Knee issues? We have participants that use a blanket, some even use a simple garden knee protector (what we use while planting and working in the garden). It is so simple and yet gives great protection if you have problems putting your bare knee to the mat.
  • NEVER Plateau! The body hates change! It would much rather do the same thing every minute of every day. Well, we have news for you…when you do the same exercise routine day in and day out you stop seeing results or “plateau.” Throughout our classes, we utilize the principle of muscle confusion. You will NEVER do the same workout twice! Why is this good? Because…your body will never adapt and you will never plateau! You will get results and they will come quick and continue to come!
  • Positive Energy: Our programs are about a team environment where both your trainers and fellow teammates motivate and challenge you to reach your highest potential!
  • KBC Family: Make new friends and become a part of the Kingsway Boxing Bootcamp family! Everyone supports each other and it’s an experience like none other. Come and see for yourself! Get fit and have fun!

Yoga for Beginners | Biljana Petrovic

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, become more flexible and inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.

I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with YogaSpace in early 2013 and have been teaching ever since. I studied many different styles of yoga, and draw on those styles as inspiration, but I really teach whatever inspires me into the moment.

In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive by nurturing their body, mind, and soul with yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
Namaste and see you on the mat.

Each individual sport has very different demands and Sport Specific Yoga provides athletes with training and tools that will allow them to excel in their chosen field.

When designing a sport-specific yoga program, our high-performance yoga instructors use the following to ensure the program meets each athlete’s needs:

  • The specific biomechanics of the sport
  • The individuals’ strengths and weaknesses
  • The physiological demands of the sport
  • Common injuries which athletes suffer in the sport
  • The individual’s core training program (periodization)

*For those individuals that are working with a coach for their core program, High-Performance instructors will consult and work within the parameters of the athlete’s training plan so that it is enhanced and not compromised.
